Gianni Fairbrother and Matthew Leduc from this year's Elite 15 team have both been invited to Hockey Canada's U17 summer development camp.

Fairbrother, 16, was awarded Top Defenseman this season in the Canadian Sports School Hockey League (Elite 15s), racking up 18 points (5g-13a) in 35 games. He also joined BWC Prep, notching three assists in five games and posting a pair of assists in his only playoff game.

"BWC Academy exceeded my expectations in every way. The coaching staff and development were top notch, and the school/hockey balance worked very well for me. I grew so much as a player, and the program has prepared me for the U17 Hockey Canada camp in July." said Fairbrother.

Leduc, 16, registered 15 points (1-14-15) in 26 games with the BWC Elite 15s team during the 2015-16 season, while also adding three assists in five games with the BWC Prep team.

"It’s been an amazing year. I loved going to the rink and school everyday. The program they have set up in Burnaby is second to none. I believe the academy gave me the best opportunity to develop as a player and as a person. I couldn't have asked for better teammates or coaching staff. I'm extremely honoured and excited now to be asked to attend Hockey Canada U17 camp and look forward to the experience." said Leduc.

Leduc, 16, registered 15 points (1-14-15) in 26 games with the BWC Elite 15s team during the 2015-16 season, while also adding three assists in five games with the BWC Prep team.
