FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Today we are announcing the departure of our Club’s Hockey Director, Richard Matvichuk.
 
Richard joined BWC five year ago and, during his tenure, the Club achieved many significant milestones. Among his accomplishments, Richard was instrumental in growing the BWC Academy to five teams and helped guide numerous players to BCHL, NCAA, WHL, and professional careers.
 
For younger skaters, Richard oversaw the expansion of the initiation program to eight teams, assisted in the rejuvenation of the U15 A1 program, and was proud to see multiple banners and championships brought home by BWC’s U11 and U13 programs.
 
Richard would like to acknowledge all of the families, players, and coaches he has had the opportunity to work with over the past five years, and would like to extend particular appreciation to Kevin Wright, Rob Windsor, Guyle Clark, Mark Santorelli and Dan Cioffi who he has worked closely with over the years.
 
Richard will be taking a new position in Colorado where he will be overseeing and managing prospect development for local junior and professional organizations.
 
We would like to thank Richard for his contributions to BWC and we wish him the best of luck in the next chapter of his career.
