2 players from last year’s Elite 15 team made their BCHL debuts.

Ryan Hogg has played 2 games for the Cowichan Valley Captials.  Hogg who moved from Duncan to Burnaby to play at the academy has quickly become a fan favorite with his hometown team.  Hogg will AP this year with the Capitals and play for the Kerry Park Islanders of the VIJHL while practicing and playing games as an affiliate with the BCHL’s Capitals.

Spencer Hunter was committed in June by the Victoria Grizzlies and has played 3 games so far.  Last year Hunter was the Elite 15 captain and voted Most Valuable player for the team.  Hunter is a draft pick of the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL.

“We are striving for player development and moving them to higher levels, but to go straight from elite 15 to the BCHL is great for Spencer and the program.  Hogg likely will play in at least 10 games for the Capitals and should be a valuable member of the team as a 17 year old.  I’m proud of both of them.” Said E15 coach Leland Mack
