COVID-19 Safety Information

The health and safety of our members and players has always been our highest priority. BWC continues to follow the guidelines given by Fraser Health and the Government of BC to ensure a safe environment for all. 

Please see the information below to help guide you as you visit our facilities. We need all of our members, visitors, players and staff to continue to work together during these times.

COVID-19 Protocols and Updates - UPDATED JANUARY 13, 2022

The Province of BC and ViaSport have announced a proof of vaccination requirement.
Here’s what it means for you.   

The Burnaby Winter Club requires all spectators 12+ entering any BWC facility to provide or have provided proof of two (2) or more doses of the vaccine and one form of government ID to the BWC office staff or team manager.

Here’s what this means for your next visit to the Burnaby Winter Club:

  • Personal Masks: As of August 25, the Province has re-introduced a mask order for all patrons born in 2009 or earlier (12+). Unless you are actively engaged in a sports activity on the ice, or you have a justified medical reason.  Masks must be worn in the changerooms. Masks are required at all times! Masks are required by all patrons when they are inside the Burnaby Winter Club.
  • Proof of Vaccination: Beginning October 24, all spectators 12+ for games or practices are required to present proof of double vaccination per the PHO order to enter the Burnaby Winter Club.
  • Capacity: BWC is currently operating at half (50%) capacity for spectators.


​​Visiting Teams/ Spectators

  • Prior to entering any BWC facility your spectators are required to provide proof of vaccination.
  • You are required to provide the BWC Team Manager completed form listing all your spectators and certifying that they are vaccinated per the PHO order (this will be sent prior to your arrival time.
  • If the form is not completed or, is completed inaccurately the privilege of allowing your spectators will be removed.


As a reminder:

If you or your child has been directly exposed to someone, or has themselves/ yourself tested positive for COVID-19:

  • Do Not Come to the Rink
  • Notify your Team Manager

If you or your child is not feeling well or has COVID-19 symptoms:

  • Do Not Come to the Rink
  • Notify your Team Manager
  • Monitor yours/your child’s health
  • Return to the rink only when there are zero signs or symptoms of COVID-19
